Drawing during a seminar

I attended a 2-day seminar last weekend. I drew in a lot and that helped me stay awake.

This is my design on a plain book cover, using pen, acrylics and collage. Such an easy and FUN way to decorate a plain cover.

All about drinks–drawing

Don’t you just love the coffee machine? I spotted it in a cafe. It was a display item, although fully functional. I was told that it was new, modelled after a 1920s machine.

Granita anyone? Nice and welcoming for summer.

Sketches: food and more

I have been away for the long weekend sketching with friends. It’s been a fun and productive weekend. I have not drawn so much in my life, but what a joy to be drawing and splashing paint.

We ate and drank a lot; it was a holiday too.

We went to an interesting cafe which was also a homeware store. There were a lot of nice objects to draw.

We drew other things too (really, we did), and I will upload more drawings in the next posts. Here is one last spread from my DottedSquare.com sketchbook. It is also the last page, so I will need a new book.

What happened to Friday! This is for Paint Party Friday – better late than never. Hope you are all having a nice weekend.

This is what happened on Friday:

The computer decided to take a break… Momentarily anyway, but long enough for me to doodle. Was a little bit concerned, but all was back to normal in no time.

Spring time in Australia

Spring time is a lovely time of the year – the lovely fresh green leaves on previously bare branches, lots of colours etc.  Paint Party Friday seems to come around too quickly when the week is busy, doesn’t it. But that means it’s weekend again – yay!

On another subject, I have been busy with DottedSquare.com lately and I wrote a little snippet on why we should doodle. Here is an interesting video:
