I attended a 2-day seminar last weekend. I drew in a lot and that helped me stay awake.

People in a cafe–caricatures

I drew these people when I was at a cafe one day. I showed one of them - the man on the bottom right - my drawing, and he was thrilled, and told his friends about it - made my day :D (his too I presume).

Sketching in a cafe

Trying to focus on the big picture of capturing the scene inside my favourite cafe. Upstairs is a wellness centre – offering massage, yoga etc. Downstairs a spacious cafe with high ceiling, views of the street from big windows.

All about drinks–drawing

Don’t you just love the coffee machine? I spotted it in a cafe. It was a display item, although fully functional. I was told that it was new, modelled after a 1920s machine.

Granita anyone? Nice and welcoming for summer.

Diwali Festival

Kym, Lucy, Eveline and I went to the Diwali Festival at Federation Square to draw yesterday. As usual, there were lots of people to draw at Federation Square since it is a popular meeting place.

There were a few people in traditional costumes. The man on  the right was just someone visiting the festival.

I got a henna tattoo.

I am enjoying my temporary tattoo.

Drawing people –food hall is a great place…

I was sitting at the end of a long table in a food hall. I found that to be a great place to draw people. Most people stay for a while, eating or chatting. When they leave, other people come along and I have new faces to draw.
